Mike and Alex Get You Drunk

Hey guys, it’s Mick. Sorry I haven’t been around lately. I’ve been working a lot lately, and work for me unfortunately interferes with times I could be making an ass of myself on stage. Hopefully I’ll be back soon.

But anyway, I do have fun news. Our good buddy Hochman (you know Hochman, right? White dude, yay high, likes his scotch) and his buddy Alex are producing an awesome comedy show/party bringing together some of our funniest friends for a night of comedy, drinking, and picking up after yourselves.

The show is called Mike and Alex Get You Drunk, it its happening on Jume 22 at 9:30pm at the Arts Parlor in foul, fetid, fuming, foggy, filthy Philadelphia. Tickets are 14.00 in advance (ticket info to follow) and 18.00 at the door.

What is Mike and Alex Get You Drunk mean? Comedy, lots of comedy. And beer, lots of beer. First, we have our friends the Richmond Comedy Coalition coming up from Virginia, to provide you with a health dose of comedy and grits direct from Dixieland. Also, The Imposters are coming down from New York, to astound and delight you with hilarious improv and pizza that is entirely too thin. There’s also Rare Bird Show, from right in Philly, who will make you laugh so hard you run the risk of choking on your Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes. And, direct from Central Jersey, is the comedy rock stylings of Lightning Bolts Of Pain (which is myself, fellow DBI supserstar Chris Brown, former DBI superstar Josh Yepez, and possibly former DBI superstar Josh Yepez’s brother Brian Yepez), who will melt your faces off with rock and…uh…central Jersey food.

Did I mention there’s beer? Yes, there’s beer! National Bohemian is the official beer of Mike and Alex Get You Drunk. It’s from Baltimore, it has an adorable mascot with a mustache on it, and it’s delicious. And I guess you could bring your own booze if your too good for our Natty Bo.

So, to sum up: booze, music, booze, comedy, and booze. Why don’t you come, won’t you?
