Sadly, summer will be ending soon. In the near future, we’ll be back in the classroom, back in itchy, turtleneck sweaters, and back to darkness at 5 PM. But we didn’t let that keep us down this past weekend; DBI made sure to celebrate.
On Friday, the 10th, we held our monthly show at SMSTC in Parlin. We had a really impressive turn out. We welcomed Andrew into the troupe and celebrated the life of Mick. Our Summer Improv Foundations class kicked off the night, and they did AWESOME. I can’t wait to see some of their faces (and possible news ones) back for our Fall Improv Foundations course. We’ll keep you posted as to when those classes will be starting.
You think we’d be all improv-ed out from such a great Friday night, but you’re wrong. The next day, we had another show down in Clementon for the South Jersey Comedy Arts Festival. We had a razzle-dazzle day. We met some hilarious new friends, saw some hilarious old friends, Tim and Hochman ate manly food, and we had a pretty good set… all the troupes did. Thank you so much to Second Place Champions for having us and for holding the event. Also, big congrats to our friends in Rintersplit for taking home the gold!
Overall, it was a great weekend filled with lots of laughing and loads of fun. Can’t wait to see you all in September for our monthly show at the home base. :)

PS: Here’s us in Clementon!
